Ratings & Endorsements

Flight training is an investment in your future

Gas Turbine Endorsement

A gas turbine endorsement is an important step in your progression as a helicopter pilot, and Helifly provides the practical, focused training needed to make that step with confidence. We help pilots understand not just how to operate the aircraft, but why each procedure matters. From engine management and start procedures to emergency handling and turbine operating techniques, Helifly gives you the knowledge and confidence to safely transition into your first turbine-powered helicopter. That turbine sound hey?!!!!

Low-Level Rating

A low-level rating should be more than a box-ticking exercise. At Helifly, you’ll train in a dedicated low-level flying area just minutes from the airfield, giving you more time in the training environment and less time in transit.

Our low-level training takes place amongst genuine terrain, trees, hills, and confined areas, helping you build the practical skills, judgement, and confidence required for real-world helicopter operations. With experienced instructors and a strong focus on safety, planning, and decision-making, Helifly offers low-level and confined area training that is realistic, valuable, and highly relevant to the work pilots may go on to do.

Slinging Endorsement

A sling endorsement is a valuable step for pilots looking to expand into practical helicopter air work. At Helifly, you’ll develop the skills, precision, and judgement required to safely conduct external load operations, with training focused on aircraft handling, load control, communication, planning, and operational safety.

Sling flying demands accuracy and discipline, and our experienced instructors will guide you through the techniques needed to build confidence and competence in this specialised area of helicopter operations.

New Machine Training

Every helicopter type has its own feel, systems, limitations, and handling characteristics. At Helifly, our training is designed to help pilots transition safely, confidently, and with a proper understanding of the aircraft they are about to fly.

Training focuses on more than simply completing the minimum flight hours. You’ll build practical knowledge of the aircraft’s systems, performance, operating limits, emergency procedures, and handling qualities, giving you the confidence to operate the new machine safely in real-world conditions.
